Connect an app (<app> wants to connect to NirmaanOne)
The consent page an AI assistant sends you to when it asks to work in NirmaanOne on your behalf: see what it will be able to do, then allow or deny it.
Connect an app (<app> wants to connect to NirmaanOne)
When you connect an AI assistant to NirmaanOne, the assistant sends you to this page. It tells you what the assistant will be able to do in your name, and you choose Allow or Deny.
Where to find it
You don't open this page from inside NirmaanOne. You start the connection in the AI assistant, and it brings you here. If you aren't signed in, you sign in first and come straight back.
Connections you have made are listed, and can be removed, under Settings > AI connectors.
Before you start
- An administrator must allow AI connectors for your organization: Settings > Organization, the AI connectors card, Allow AI connectors (MCP).
- If your organization requires two-factor authentication, you must have it turned on for your own account. See Two-factor sign-in.
What you see
The heading names the assistant, for example "Claude wants to connect to NirmaanOne", followed by "Signed in as" your email "in" your organization, and a Not you? Sign out link.
A box headed "If you allow it:" spells out the terms:
- "It acts as you, with the permissions of your roles:" followed by your roles. If you have none yet it says "none yet, so it can do very little."
- "It only sees" your organization's "data."
- "It can read records and make everyday changes (opportunities, activities, tasks, draft document templates, generated documents), all recorded under your name."
- "It cannot move money, issue demands, approve, cancel bookings, publish templates or send email."
- "You can disconnect it any time in Settings > AI connectors."
Under the box, "You will return to" names the website the assistant will send you back to. Check that it is the assistant you started from.
What you can do
Allow
Connects the assistant and sends you back to it ("Returning to the app…"). From then on it can work in NirmaanOne as you, within the limits listed above.
- Who: anyone who can sign in, for their own account.
- Greyed out when your organization has not turned on AI connectors. The hover reason, repeated in a warning at the top of the page, is "Your organization has not turned on AI connectors. An administrator can allow them under Settings > Organization."
Deny
Refuses the connection and sends you back to the assistant, which is told you said no. Nothing is connected. While either answer is being sent, both buttons are greyed out (no hover reason) and the page reads "Returning to the app…".
Not you? Sign out
Signs you out. After you sign in with the right account, you come back to this same request.
Things to know
- Everything the assistant does is recorded under your name. In a record's History panel its changes show as your name followed by "via AI connector", so colleagues can tell them apart from changes you made yourself.
- It can never do more than you. It works with your roles' permissions, and on top of that it is kept away from money, approvals, issuing demands, cancelling bookings, publishing templates and sending email.
- If your organization requires two-factor authentication and yours is off, the page shows "Set up two-factor authentication first" with the button Set up two-factor authentication, which opens the right card on My Profile. Turn it on, then start the connection again from the assistant.
- "This connection request is not valid" means the assistant isn't registered with NirmaanOne, or asked to return you to a website it didn't register. "For your safety you are not sent back to the app." Close the page and start again from the assistant.
- "Could not load this connection request" is any other problem loading the page. Click Try again.
- "Could not load your profile" means the app couldn't read your own account; Try again reloads it.
- If the app was allowed and then blocked between the page loading and you clicking Allow, the page shows the same warning about AI connectors and Allow goes grey.
- The page calls the product "NirmaanOne"; it is the same NirmaanOne you sign in to.
