Account and dashboard
- Cannot sign in: wrong password, pending invitation, deactivated account or a rejected codeThe sign-in form, the two-factor step or a password form refuses you: what each message means, the rule behind it and how to get back in.
- Connecting an AI app is refused: connectors are off, 2FA is missing or the request is invalidThe consent page will not let you allow an AI assistant, an existing connection has stopped working, or the Revoke icon is greyed out: what each message means and who can fix it.
- Invitation, verification or password-reset link cannot be usedA link from an email opens a page that says it is incomplete, invalid, expired or already used: how long each kind of link lives, what makes it stop working and how to get a new one.
- Pages refuse to load data: your organization requires two-factor authenticationA red banner says most pages will refuse to load data, dashboard sections fail and every list shows the same message: the organization now requires two-factor authentication and your account has not set it up yet.
- Sign-in refused: verify your email addressYour email address was still not verified 30 days after your account was created, so NirmaanOne refuses sign-in and stops AI connections until you open a verification link.
Administration
- "Already exists" or "listed twice": the name, code, number or line must be uniqueNames, codes and numbers are unique within their scope (the organization, a project, a tower, a set of books) so that records can be told apart, and a line can appear once on a plan, offer or account; rename, reuse the existing record, or remove the duplicate line.
- "No access" or "You do not have permission": your role lacks a permissionEvery screen, button and picker is gated by a permission on a module; your role decides which you hold, so a missing one shows as a No access card, a refused action, a greyed-out button with a hover reason, or a picker that explains which permission it needs.
- "That item could not be found" or "does not belong to this project": the record is gone, elsewhere or staleA record that was deleted, belongs to another organization, or is linked from a stale page answers "not found"; a tower, stage, parking slot, estimate, tenant, ledger or bill picked from the wrong project, opportunity or set of books is refused as not belonging there.
- "The 'Tenant' contact type is not configured": a lookup or component the app relies on is missingA form refused to save because a standard lookup value (a contact type such as Tenant, Customer or Lead) or the GST charge component the app looks up by itself is no longer in your organization; an administrator adds it back under Lookups or Charge Components and the form saves.
- Escrow, TDS or cancellation rule refused: a rule already starts on that date, or it is the last oneThe RERA escrow share, TDS on sales and booking cancellation rules are effective-dated: one rule per start date and scope, and the last rule is never deleted because every sweep, demand and cancellation needs a rule in force; change the figure or add a rule from a later date instead.
- Lookup row or unit configuration cannot be deleted: deactivate it insteadA lookup value that records already use, a system activity type the application writes itself, or a unit configuration that units carry cannot be deleted; untick Active so it stops being offered while existing records keep it.
- Role cannot be deleted, renamed or assigned; a user cannot deactivate themselvesDefault roles and roles still held by users are never deleted (deactivate them instead), the Administrator role is locked, an inactive role cannot be given to anyone, you cannot switch off your own account, and only active users of your organization can own opportunities, tasks and workflow actions.
- The assistant declines, answers with a list of articles, says the model is offline, or cannot answerWhat each message from Ask NirmaanOne means: the question was outside NirmaanOne, no article matches, the answer engine is unreachable (you still get the closest articles), the answer stopped, or feedback cannot be saved.
Projects
- "Not a charge the buyer pays": the component's kind does not belong on this recordEvery charge component has a kind that decides where it may appear: Sale Charge on pricing plans and estimates, Tenant Benefit and Tenant Charge (with Tax) on member offers, Tenant Benefit alone on benefit plans, Commission on commissions; GST is never a line you add, and a benefit paid to the member can never be demanded.
- "Not ready to sell and collect": the project's readiness card still has blockersA booking, or an allottee's purchases, cannot go ahead while the project lacks a promoter entity, the promoter's books, its collection, RERA separate and operative bank accounts with ledgers in those books, or (when the organization requires it) the RERA registration; the Ready to sell and collect? card lists what is missing and where to fix it.
- "Purchases cannot start yet": the offer, its split or the project is not readyAn allottee's purchases of their allotted units open only from an issued, accepted or signed offer that allots units, records the entitled area with a split that adds up, carries no Differential Area Cost, and sits on a project that is ready to sell and collect; a purchase then stays tied to its allotted unit and the allottee as buyer.
- Amenity refused: it is already listed project-wide, or already listed per towerAn amenity is listed either once for the whole project or once on each tower that has it, never both; adding it in the other scope, or moving a row across scopes, is refused until the rows in the first scope are removed.
- Construction stage cannot be deleted: payment schedules reference itA construction stage that installments on a booking's payment schedule are waiting on cannot be deleted; those schedule rows would lose the event that dates them.
- Construction stage cannot be reopened or re-datedReopen is refused once an installment on the stage has been paid, waived, cancelled or hand-dated; the commencement and completion dates must keep their order; and a stale screen can ask for a change the stage already has.
- Construction stage shares refused or the plan splits equally: shares must add up to 100%Project-wide stages share one 100% and each tower's own stages share their own; a share that pushes its bucket over 100% is refused, while shares that do not reach 100% make the pricing preview split the plan equally and leave revenue progress with nothing to measure.
- Entitlement split refused: the shares do not add up, or a unit's purchase has frozen themThe entitled area of an offer is split across its allotted units; each share must lie between 0 and the unit's area, the shares must add up to the entitlement (capped at the allotted area), the area charged must lie within the unit's extra area, and a unit whose estimate went out or which is booked keeps its figures until that estimate is revised or the booking cancelled.
- New offer refused: the allottee already has a live offer, or the project takes no member offersEach allottee gets one live offer per project, so a second one is refused until the first is cancelled; society members exist only on redevelopment projects with a linked society, while landowners and PAP tenants can be recorded and offered units on any project.
- No estimate or booking allowed: the project's RERA registration is missing, expired or not yet validWith the organization's "Require RERA registration before selling" switch on, no estimate or booking can be made on a project unless a RERA registration whose validity covers today is recorded on its RERA registration card; an expiring one only warns, and opportunities can still be logged.
- Offer cannot be cancelled, reopened, edited or deleted: money, demands, purchases or its status stand in the wayAn offer with money recorded against it is in the books and is not cancelled from the offer; a live demand must be cancelled first; an allottee's purchase that has an estimate out or a booking must be cancelled before its unit comes off the offer; and each action is allowed only from the statuses it moves from, so a non-draft offer is reopened before it is edited.
- Parking slot is allocated or held: it, and its parking area, cannot be released, changed or deleted hereA parking slot allocated with a booking is released only when that booking is cancelled, one held by a sent estimate only when the estimate is cancelled or expires, and while either lasts its status cannot be set by hand, it cannot be deleted and its parking area cannot be removed; only member allocations are released from the Parking tab.
- Pricing plan cannot be deleted: estimates reference itA pricing plan that any estimate was priced on cannot be deleted, because the estimate keeps the plan as the record of how its price was built; untick Active so the plan stops being offered on new estimates while the old ones keep it.
- Society & Tenants tab or the Society, Existing members and Offers steps are missing: not a redevelopment project, or no permissionThe Society & Tenants tab, the wizard's Society, Existing members and Offers steps, or the Landowners & PAP tenants card only appear on a Redevelopment project and for roles with a permission on Societies, Tenants or Termsheets; change the project type or ask for the permission.
- Unit cannot be allotted on the offer: taken, wrong designation, or too many unitsAn offer can allot only units that are Available or Reserved For Tenant, not on another offer, of the right designation for the allottee (PAP units to PAP tenants only, Common units to no one), and at most 50 of them.
- Unit has no chargeable area: the area the project prices on is missingPer Sqft prices and allottee entitlements are worked out on one area basis (Carpet Area (Mofa), RERA Carpet Area or Super Built-up Area); a unit without that area cannot be priced, previewed or split until the figure is recorded on the unit.
- Unit is held, allotted or booked: its status, designation, floor or tower cannot be changed or deletedOnly Available, Blocked and Reserved For Tenant are set by hand. A unit that an estimate, an offer or a booking depends on keeps its status and designation until that record lets it go, and only Available units (and towers and floors holding nothing else) can be deleted.
- Unit type, configuration or plan does not suit the project or the unitA unit type must suit the project's property type (its Suits residential / Suits commercial ticks under Lookups), a configuration must be active and of the same type as the unit, a pricing plan prices only units of its own type, and sheets must name unit types that exist.
Structure and parking
Pricing
- Benefit plan cannot be saved or applied to the offerA benefit plan needs a name, and each of its lines a Tenant Benefit component, a calendar cadence, an amount and (for a repeating cadence) the number of installments; applying one to an offer needs a plan with lines and, when a line is per sq ft, the allottee's existing carpet on the offer.
- Charge group cannot be deleted or recoded: seeded, or still holding componentsThe four standard charge groups your organization starts with keep their code and are deactivated rather than deleted; any other group is deleted only once its components have moved to another group; a component still in use is deactivated, not deleted.
- Unit Pricing: no plan for the unit type, or the stage links refuse to saveAn estimate loads a pricing plan only when the project has an active plan for the unit's type; otherwise price by hand, giving each manual line an amount and every override a reason; on the Unit Pricing tab the stage links save only once the plan has charges and something changed, and the Unit Base Price group always stays on the payment plan.
Societies and allottees
- Co-owner or co-applicant shares refused: over 100%, or the primary listed againCo-owners of an allottee and co-applicants on a booking share ownership with the primary person: their shares together may not pass 100%, the primary cannot also be listed as a co-owner or co-applicant, and the same person cannot be added twice.
- Member or allottee cannot be deleted or recategorised: offers or parking slots are linkedA society member, landowner or PAP tenant who has an offer (in any status, cancelled included) or a parking slot allocated to them cannot be deleted, and a landowner or PAP tenant with an offer cannot be switched to the other category through the import; delete the offer and release the parking slots first.
- Membership or reference number already exists in the society or projectA membership number is unique among a society's members, and a reference number among a project's landowners and PAP tenants; saving a member, or importing a sheet, with a number that another person already holds, or that appears twice in the sheet, is refused.
- Society cannot be deleted: projects link it or members existA society stays on file while any project is linked to it or any member is recorded under it; unlink it from every project and remove its members first, and a society whose members already have offers cannot be deleted at all.
Sales
- "A Draft estimate already exists": one draft estimate (or draft payment plan) at a timeAn opportunity can have only one Draft estimate, and an estimate only one Draft payment plan; the New estimate and New version buttons hide while a draft exists, and the draft has to be finished, deleted or (for a plan) edited before another one can be started.
- Booking cannot be cancelled yet: pending payments, or revenue already recognisedThe cancel wizard stops on its first step while a receipt or payout on the booking is still Pending, while revenue on the booking is recognised under a policy that does not allow cancelling, or when the booking is already cancelled.
- Campaign cannot be changed, cancelled or deleted: its status, or the template does not fitOnly a Draft or Scheduled campaign can be edited, rebuilt or sent; a campaign that has started sending is kept as the log of what went out; a finished or cancelled one can't be cancelled; and a campaign needs an Email template that renders a contact.
- Campaign has no one to send to: the audience matches nobody, or no contact is reachableA campaign mails only active contacts that match its audience, have a valid email address and are not on the unsubscribe list. When nobody matches, or everyone matched is skipped, Send stays greyed out or is refused.
- Cancel booking fails on the last step: it needs Edit on Demands and Create on PaymentsOpening the cancel wizard needs only the Edit permission on Bookings, but posting the cancellation also writes credit notes and a refund payout, so it needs the Edit permission on Demands and the Create permission on Payments as well. With the default roles only the Administrator holds all three.
- Company cannot be deleted: projects, opportunities, bank accounts or books link to itA company that is a project's promoter, a channel partner on an opportunity or commission, the owner of bank accounts or the entity of a set of books can't be deleted, so deals and postings stay traceable. Untick Active instead.
- Contact cannot be deleted: it is a user, or records link to itA contact that is the record behind a login, or that an opportunity, booking, society membership, booking party, co-owner or commission refers to, can't be deleted. Deactivate the user, or untick Active on the contact.
- Estimate action refused: not the current version, or the wrong statusEstimate actions apply only to the current (highest live) version and only in certain statuses: a Draft is edited, a Draft or Sent version is finalized, a Pending Approval one is approved, the current Approved one is booked; anything else is refused and usually means the page is stale or an older version is open.
- Estimate expired or its validity date has passed: the unit hold was releasedAn estimate holds its unit only until its Valid until date. A draft whose date has already passed cannot be sent or finalized, a new validity date cannot be in the past, and once the date has passed the hourly job marks the estimate Expired, releases the unit and parking slots and tells the team; an expired estimate cannot be revived, so a new one is priced.
- Generate document has nothing to offer: no published template for this record typeDocuments are generated only from published document templates of the record's type; the starter templates (cost sheet, allotment letter, offer letter and others) ship as drafts, so until someone publishes one, Generate document has nothing to pick, offers issue without a letter and workflow rules that generate the template fail.
- Opportunity cannot be deleted, marked lost, reopened or worked: its stage decidesOnly a Lead with no estimates can be deleted; anything further along is marked lost instead. A booked opportunity is closed only by cancelling its booking, a lost one must be reopened before it can be priced or booked, and a buyer who comes back is reopened rather than entered again.
- Payment plan cannot be finalized, or the estimate cannot be approved or booked: finalize in orderAn estimate goes price first, plan second: the pricing is locked, then a payment plan whose shares add up to 100% is finalized, which requests approval; only an Approved estimate with a Finalized plan can be booked.
- Possession cannot be offered or handed over: no occupation certificate, wrong dates or revenue already recognisedPossession is offered only once an occupation certificate (the tower's, else the project's) dated on or before the offer is recorded, when the revenue policy requires one; the handover must follow the offer, no date may precede the booking, and once a revenue run has recognised the booking its possession dates are locked.
- Unit or parking slot is not free: held for another buyer, not for sale, or taken before bookingAn estimate can be priced, sent or booked only on a Saleable unit that is Available or already held for this buyer, with parking slots that are free or held for this buyer; a unit or parking slot held by another buyer's sent estimate, allotted, booked, blocked, or of PAP or Common designation is refused, including when someone else takes it between the estimate and the booking.
Bookings
- Booking is cancelled or its schedule rows are no longer Pending: the change is refusedA cancelled booking accepts no edits, demands, receipts, commissions or reschedules, and on a live booking only Pending schedule rows can be re-dated; paid, partly paid, waived and cancelled rows stay as they are, and the payment plan of a booked estimate is changed by regenerating the termsheet, never by cancelling the plan.
- Termsheet cannot be issued, accepted, signed or reopened: its status has moved on, or it is already signedThe buyer's termsheet moves Draft, Issued, Accepted, Signed in order, and only an Issued or Accepted one can go back to Draft; when your screen is stale, or the termsheet is Signed or Cancelled, the action is refused with "Cannot <action> a <status> termsheet".
Accounting
- "No books yet" or "has no books": set up books for the promoter company firstEvery posting follows the project's promoter company into its set of books; until that Promoter Entity company has books, the accounting screens show an empty state and demands, receipts, commissions and cancellations cannot post.
- "Not balanced: check opening balances": the trial balance or balance sheet shows a differencePosted vouchers always balance, so a gap on the trial balance or balance sheet comes from the opening balances typed for the year; balance them on the Opening balances tab, then rebuild the period cache so Period balances agree.
- "These books are inactive": nothing posts until the books are reactivatedPosting a voucher, issuing a demand, recording a payment, starting a run or cancelling a booking is refused because the promoter's books are inactive; what is blocked and how to reactivate them.
- Bank account cannot be saved, changed or deleted: IFSC, owner, purpose, holders or payments in the wayThe bank account panel refuses to save, the owner cannot be changed, a purpose is not available, or Delete answers that payments reference the account: each message, the rule and what to do instead.
- Books cannot be deleted: vouchers or payments exist in themThe Delete books dialog refuses because the books already hold vouchers or payments; deactivate the books instead so their history stays intact.
- Chart of accounts: a seeded group, ledger, template, cost centre or voucher type refuses the change or the deleteRows the app seeded or that postings already use are protected: seeded groups, system ledgers and system templates keep their name and place, and anything with postings, mappings or vouchers behind it is retired rather than deleted.
- Demand or commission cannot be cancelled, edited or approved: payments are against it, or its status forbidsA demand with receipts, or a commission with payouts, cannot be cancelled until that money is bounced, cancelled or reallocated; and once issued or approved, the document's figures are fixed, so only a Draft demand or an Accrued commission can be edited or deleted.
- Demand run: some demands could not be issued, or the run holds nothingA demand run issues each demand on its own, so one that cannot post is listed under "failed on the last attempt" while the others go through; a run whose demands were all cancelled or deleted, or a subject with nothing due, is reported rather than issued.
- Fiscal year cannot be closed or reopened: next year missing, drafts pending, or years out of orderThe Close year dialog stays blocked or the close and reopen actions are refused: the next year must be open, no drafts may remain, years close and reopen in order, and the books need a Journal voucher type and the Profit & Loss ledger.
- Payee skipped from the payout run: no active bank account on fileA NEFT, RTGS or other bank-mode payout run drafts nothing for a member or channel partner who has no active bank account, lists them under Skipped payees, and picks them up in a later run once an account is added.
- Payment saved but clearing failed, or payouts in a run could not be clearedThe payment was recorded as Pending but its voucher could not be posted, most often because the books have no bank ledger for the account the money went through; fix the cause and clear it again.
- Payout run cannot be approved, cleared or cancelled: nothing pending, partly cleared, or the wrong booksA payout run moves Draft to Approved to Cleared and can be cancelled only while some payout is still pending; a run whose payouts were handled one by one, or a run drafted against books that do not promote the project, refuses the action with the messages listed here.
- Posting refused: no open fiscal year or period for the dateEvery posting, manual or automatic, needs a fiscal year of the books that covers its date, with the year open and the month's period unlocked; open the next year, unlock the period or reopen the year under Books, or move the document's date.
- Posting stopped: a charge component or standard ledger is missing from these booksA demand, payout, commission, cancellation or revenue run could not post because a charge component has no ledger in the promoter's books, or a template ledger or group the posting needs was never copied into them; map the component or sync the templates, then retry.
- Receipt saved with a warning: it went outside the collection accountA receipt of a project recorded into an account other than the project's collection account (or a GST receipt banked somewhere other than the GST or operative account, the collection account included) is saved with a warning that never blocks; under RERA every buyer payment enters the collection account, where the bank sweeps it, so the money sits outside the sweep until it is moved, while GST belongs apart from the sweep.
- Report refuses the date range, or shows nothing for itReports read posted vouchers between two dates: From must not be after To, the year-based reports keep the range inside one fiscal year, and an empty result usually means the range, the filters or a draft that was never posted.
- Revenue policy cannot be changed or deleted: a posted run used it, or the settings do not fit the frameworkA revenue policy that a posted revenue run has used stays as history and is changed by adding a new policy from a later date; a set of books always keeps one policy, two cannot start on the same date, and the significant financing component is only available under Ind AS 115 and needs a rate.
- Revenue run cannot be started, posted or reversed: a draft exists, the period is out of order, or the status forbidsRevenue runs on a set of books form a chain: one draft at a time, each run ending on or after the last posted one, and reversals from the latest run backwards; each action fits one status only.
- Revenue run leaves a project out: "the cost method needs a cost budget"Under the cost-incurred method, and for the Guidance Note cost threshold, a project needs a cost budget in force on the period end; without one the run leaves its bookings out and the reports flag the project.
- Voucher cannot be posted: unbalanced, missing lines, retired ledgers or bill allocations that do not matchSave and post or Post is greyed out, the draft saves but posting fails, or the form refuses a line: the balance, line, ledger, voucher-type and bill-allocation rules a voucher must meet before it reaches the ledger.
- Voucher cannot be reversed, edited, cancelled or deleted: posted vouchers only reverseEdit, Cancel draft and Delete disappear once a voucher is posted, Reverse is refused or the reversal date is rejected: a posted voucher is never changed, only mirrored by a reversal dated on or after it.
Collections
- Appropriate is greyed out or the split is refused: only received money goes on the linesThe money received against a demand is placed on its charge lines by hand; the split is refused while the demand is not issued, nothing has been received, a line takes more than it bills, or the lines together take more than was received, and a bounced receipt leaves the demand over-appropriated until the split is reduced.
- Payment cannot be edited, cancelled, deleted or bounced: its status decidesOnly a Pending payment can be edited, cleared, cancelled or deleted, and even then its direction, party, booking and books are fixed; a Cleared payment can only be bounced, which reverses its voucher and reopens the bills; Bounced and Cancelled payments are final and a new payment is recorded instead.
- Raise demand finds nothing to bill, or refuses the rows pickedA demand bills open schedule rows: a row that is paid, cancelled, waived, empty or already on a live demand cannot be billed again, a booking needs its termsheet, a member offer must be issued before it is billed, and a demand without TDS has no Form 16B to record.
- Record payment refuses to save: the party, books, direction or allocations do not fitA receipt or payout needs exactly one party (or a booking that gives the buyer) and a set of books; a payout also needs TDS no larger than the amount and allocations that name one open target each, add up to no more than the amount, match the direction and belong to the payee. A receipt settles the payer's open demands by itself, so its allocation messages reach the form only when a demand closed between the preview and the save. A receipt refused over the buyer's TDS or over GST has its own article.

Documents
- Email shows as logged or refused: the mail server is not configured or rejected the messageOutgoing mail is sent through a mail server set up for the installation, not inside the app; while none is configured every email (document, campaign, workflow, invitation, verification) is only logged and reported as not delivered, and when the server refuses a message the recipient is marked failed; the person who runs the installation configures mail, then you resend.
- Files cannot be uploaded: storage is not configured, the file is too big or empty, or it went missingLogos, stage files, signed copies and uploaded documents live in an object store set up for the installation; until it is configured uploads are refused while dates and records still save, a file must have content and stay within the size limit (25 MB for documents, 2 MB for logos), and an uploaded document can only be downloaded, not previewed.
- Template will not save, publish or render: a tag, expression or the HTML is wrongA document template, message template or rule action that carries a broken merge tag is refused when saved or published, names the field and the line; a template that parses but fails while filling in a record, or whose HTML the PDF or Word engine cannot lay out, fails at preview, generation or sending; the editor's own dialogs and fields have their own checks.
- Template, letterhead or generated document cannot be deleted: retire or void it insteadA document template that produced documents, that an email template attaches or that a workflow rule uses is kept for history and is retired rather than deleted; a letterhead is deleted only once no template uses it; a generated document that was sent is voided, never deleted.
Workflows
- "This workflow cannot run right now": the record, the rule or its inputs do not qualifyA manual workflow from a record page's Workflows menu refuses to start because the record no longer meets the rule's conditions, the rule was switched off, changed or moved to another project, or a value in its small form is missing or out of range.
- A run's action errored: webhook refused, empty role, empty reason, unpublished template or the chain ran too deepA workflow run stops as Errored when one of its actions fails: the webhook address is internal or the other system refused the call, the role to assign to has no active members, a cancellation or lost reason came out blank, or the document template is not published; a run is Blocked when a chain of rules emitting events runs deeper than the engine allows.
- Email action or document email did not go out: no valid recipient, or the message is incompleteA Send email action fails when its To line renders no valid address (usually because the contact has no email), a rule with Send email cannot be saved without a message template or a subject and body, a document email needs at least one valid address and is refused for a void document, and an Email message template needs a subject.
- Run errored or blocked with "permission_revoked": the rule's owner no longer holds a permission its actions needA rule's automatic runs act as the person who last saved or switched the rule, and manual runs as the person who pressed the button; each action is checked against that person's permissions when it runs, so a role change or a deactivated user makes the run fail until the permission is restored or someone who holds it takes the rule over.
- Workflow rule will not save: a trigger, schedule, condition or action is incomplete or not allowedCreate rule or Save changes is refused when the trigger is missing its event type, schedule or input form, when a condition names a field the record doesn't have, when an action is switched off on this server or is set up in a way the engine doesn't allow, or when the rule has nothing to do.
- Workflow rule, event type or message template cannot be deleted: runs, rules or actions use itA workflow rule that has run is kept for its history and a system rule is never deleted or edited; switch them off instead. A custom event type that rules listen to, a message template that workflow actions or campaigns use, cannot be deleted either; deactivate it, or change what uses it first.
- Workflow runs stay Pending: automation is off, its queue is down or processing has stoppedRules keep saving and events keep being recorded, but nothing runs while automation is switched off on the server, the queue that carries changes to it is missing or down, or processing has stopped; the Health tab shows which, the NirmaanOne team fixes it, and the waiting work is then processed.
Excel sheets
- Import is greyed out or nothing was written: rows in the sheet failed the checkEvery Excel import is checked row by row before anything is saved, and nothing at all is written while even one row fails; Import stays greyed out until the listed rows are fixed in the sheet and the file is chosen again.
- The Excel file cannot be read: wrong format, missing columns or no rowsAn import reads only an .xlsx workbook (or a CSV from an older template) laid out like the template: the Data sheet with the template's header row and at least one row under it. Any other file, a renamed or missing column, or an empty sheet is refused before a single row is checked.
