History panel
See who changed a record, what they changed and when, including the record's lines, newest first, and jump to the full audit log.
History panel
The History button on a record's page opens a timeline of every change made to that record: who made it, when, from which network address, and the values before and after. Use it to answer "who changed this price?" or "when was this booking edited?".
Where to find it
The History button (clock icon, tooltip "Who changed this record, what and when") is on:
- opportunity, estimate and booking pages;
- project pages;
- society pages and allottee pages (society members, landowners and PAP tenants);
- demand, payment, voucher and commission pages;
- company pages and the contact panel;
- the unit panel in a project's Structure tab;
- under Settings, the role editor (for a role that already exists) and the Edit user panel on Users.
You see the button when you have the View permission on the record's own module (for example the View permission on Bookings for a booking), or the View permission on Audit Trail. In the default roles, Audit Trail is held only by the Administrator, the Compliance Officer and the Auditor. Without either permission the button isn't shown.
What you see
The panel opens on the right, titled "History · " followed by the record's name (for example the booking number). Above the timeline it counts the changes, newest first, and says what is included:
- On most records: "Lines of this record (items, parties, permissions) are included." So a booking's history also shows changes to its applicants, and a role's history shows permissions being added or removed.
- On a project: "Everything in this project is included: towers, floors, units, parking, pricing, construction stages, offers, sales and money." A project's panel also has a row of chips, All and one per part of the project (structure, parking, pricing and so on), each with its count; pick one to see only those changes ("Showing … only.").
Each entry shows:
- What happened, as a badge: Create, Update, Delete, Sign In, Sign In Failed, Sign Out or Download.
- A one-line summary, such as "Created", "Deleted" or "Changed" followed by the fields that changed.
- Who did it: the person's name; the name followed by "via AI connector" when an AI assistant acted for them; "Workflow (as …)" when an automatic workflow rule made the change on someone's behalf; "System" (or "System (as …)"); or "Unknown user".
- When, and the network address it came from.
- For a line of the record (an applicant, an item, a permission), which line it was, as a link when that line has its own page.
- For a sign-in or a download, the details: the method or reason, or the file name.
- The values: for a change, a table of Field, Before and After, open at once. For a record that was created or deleted, click "Show N values" to see a table of Field and Value (or "Value when deleted").
Passwords and two-factor secrets never show; the table says "[redacted]" instead.
If nothing has changed yet, the panel says "No history yet" and "Changes are recorded from 28 Sep 2026; nothing has changed on this record since." If the history can't be fetched, it says "The history could not be loaded."
What you can do
History
Opens the panel for the record you are on.
- Who: anyone with the View permission on the record's module, or on Audit Trail.
Load older changes
The panel shows 25 entries at a time. Load older changes at the bottom adds the next 25. It disappears once you have reached the first entry.
Open in the audit log
At the foot of the panel, Open in the audit log opens Settings > Audit log filtered to this record (for a project, to everything in the project). There you can narrow the list further, for example by project, record kind, action, person and date.
- Who: only people with the View permission on Audit Trail. Others don't see the link.
Things to know
- Nothing in the history can be edited or deleted from the screens. There is no button for it, so you can rely on it when a price, a payment or a permission is questioned.
- Changes before 28 Sep 2026 are not in the history. Recording started on that date.
- A project's History is the whole project. Changes to its towers, units, parking, pricing, stages, offers, sales and money all show there, as well as on the individual record.
- Two different "History" items on opportunities. An opportunity page has a History tab, which shows how the opportunity moved through its stages, and a History button, which shows every change to the record.
- Downloads are recorded. Downloading an Excel sheet or a file adds a Download entry.
- The audit log shows the whole organization. Settings > Audit log lists every create, change and delete, every sign-in (including refused ones), every sign-out and every downloaded file, for everyone. That is why only the audit roles hold it by default.
