Sign in to NirmaanOne with your email and password, and with a 6-digit code or a backup code when your account has two-factor authentication.

This is the page where you enter NirmaanOne. Sign in with your email and password; if your account has two-factor authentication, you then type a code from your phone.

Where to find it

Open the NirmaanOne web address. When you are not signed in, the app brings you here. It also brings you here when you open any other page of the app without being signed in, and takes you on to that page once you have signed in.

If you are already signed in, opening this page takes you straight to the Dashboard.

The page has the NirmaanOne name at the top (which takes you to the start) and a sun or moon switch in the corner for light and dark mode.

Before you start

You need an account in an organization. There are two ways to get one:

What you see

The heading "Sign in" and "Welcome back. Enter your details to continue."

Field What to enter
Email The email address your account was created with. Your email is your sign-in name; there is no username. Required ("Enter your email").
Password Your password. Required ("Enter your password").

Below the fields are the Forgot password? link, the Sign in button, and "New organization? Create an account".

Sometimes a blue notice sits above the fields, explaining why you are here:

  • "Your session ended. Please sign in again." after your session ran out or was ended elsewhere (for example by Sign out everywhere on another device, or a password change).
  • "Password updated. Sign in with your new password." after you reset your password.
  • "Email verified. Sign in to continue." after you confirmed your email address while signed out.
  • "The sign-in step expired. Enter your password again." when you took more than five minutes to enter your two-factor code.

What you can do

Enter your email and password and click Sign in.

  • If your account has two-factor authentication, the page changes to Two-factor authentication and asks for your code. See Two-factor sign-in.
  • Otherwise you go straight to the page you were trying to open, or to the Dashboard.

If the app refuses, you see one of these messages:

Message What it means
"The email or password is incorrect." The email isn't registered, or the password is wrong. The app doesn't say which, so nobody can use this page to find out who has an account.
"This account has a pending invitation. Open the invitation email to set a password first." You were invited but never chose a password. Open the invitation email, or ask your administrator to resend it.
"This account has been deactivated" An administrator has deactivated your account. Ask them to reactivate it.
"Verify your email address to sign in. We have sent a new verification link to <email>." Your email address is still not verified 30 days after your account was created. Open the new link, then sign in again. See Verify email.
"Verify your email address to sign in. We could not send a new verification link right now; try again later." The same, but the new link could not be emailed. Try signing in again later to get one.
"Your organization has been deactivated. Contact support." Your whole organization is switched off.

Forgot password?

Opens Forgot your password?, where you ask for a reset link by email.

Create an account

Opens Create your organization. Use it only to start a brand-new organization. To join your company's existing organization, ask your administrator for an invitation instead.

Things to know

  • You stay signed in while you keep using NirmaanOne in the same browser. If you don't use it for a day, you sign in again; there is no other time limit. Signing out from the account menu, Sign out everywhere on My Profile, resetting your password, changing it on another device, an administrator resetting your two-factor authentication, or being deactivated ends the session sooner. These take effect at once: the next thing the person does sends them to the sign-in page.
  • Signing out in one tab signs out every tab of the same browser. The other tabs return to the plain sign-in page.
  • Verify your email within 30 days. Until then a reminder shows at the top of every page; after that, NirmaanOne refuses sign-in with the right password until you verify, and each refused attempt sends you a fresh verification link. See Verify email.
  • Every attempt is recorded. Successful and refused sign-ins both go into the organization's Audit log, so an administrator can see failed attempts on an account.
  • Your organization may require two-factor authentication. You can still sign in without it, but until you set it up, the only thing you can do is set it up. See Two-factor sign-in.
  • Coming back after a timeout returns you to the page you were on, but filters or other settings in the page's address may be lost.
