My Profile

Your own account: see your email, organization and roles, change your name and phone, change your password, turn two-factor authentication on or off, and sign out everywhere.

My Profile

My Profile is your own corner of NirmaanOne: who you are signed in as, your name and phone, your password, two-factor authentication and the places you are signed in.

Where to find it

Open the account menu (your email at the right of the top bar) and choose My Profile. Every signed-in user can open it; no permission is needed.

The red two-factor banner, the organization security policy and the AI connection page also bring you here, straight to the Two-factor authentication card. An old bookmark to the separate change-password page brings you to the Change password card.

What you see

The heading "My Profile" and "Your account, password, two-factor authentication and sessions." Five cards follow.

Account

"Your email is your sign-in name and cannot be changed."

Item What it shows
Email Your sign-in email, with a Verified or Not verified badge. While it is not verified, the line "Verify by <date>; after that you cannot sign in until you do." shows the deadline.
Organization The organization you belong to.
Roles The role you hold, or "None". It decides what you can see and do.
Member since When your account was created.
Last sign in When you last signed in.

Your details

"Your name and phone as colleagues see them. They also update your entry in Contacts."

Field Rules
First name Optional, up to 100 characters.
Last name Optional, up to 100 characters.
Phone Optional, up to 20 characters.

Change password

"Other devices will be signed out."

Field Rules
Current password Required ("Enter your current password").
New password At least 8 characters with a letter and a digit ("Use at least 8 characters", "Include at least one letter and one digit", "Password is too long (max 72 bytes)").
Confirm new password The same again ("Passwords do not match").

Two-factor authentication

"Adds a second step at sign-in: a 6-digit code from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy." A badge shows Enabled or Off. When it is on, the card also shows Enabled on and Backup codes remaining (for example "8 of 10", in amber when two or fewer are left), and the line "Lost your authenticator and your backup codes? Ask an administrator to reset your two-factor authentication from Settings > Users."

Sessions

"You stay signed in on a device until you sign out or go a day without using NirmaanOne. If you signed in on a computer you no longer use, or think someone else has your password, sign out everywhere." with the Sign out everywhere button.

What you can do

Resend verification email

Shown on the Account card while your email is Not verified. Sends a new verification link. You then see "Verification email sent." or "Email could not be sent right now." See Verify email.

Save details

Saves your first name, last name and phone. You see "Your details are saved." Your entry in Contacts changes too, so colleagues see the same name and number everywhere.

Update password

Changes your password. Type your current password, the new one twice, and click Update password. You see "Password changed."

  • You stay signed in on this device. Every other device and browser is signed out at its next step and must sign in with the new password.
  • If the current password is wrong, you see "The current password is incorrect." under that field.

If you have forgotten your current password, sign out and use Forgot your password? instead.

Set up two-factor authentication

Starts two-factor setup: scan the QR code, type the 6-digit code, click Enable, then save your ten backup codes. The steps are in Two-factor sign-in.

Regenerate backup codes

Shown while two-factor is on. After your password, gives you ten new backup codes; the old ones stop working. See Two-factor sign-in.

Disable two-factor

Shown while two-factor is on. Needs your password and a current code or a backup code. See Two-factor sign-in.

  • Greyed out while your organization requires two-factor, with the hover reason "Your organization requires two-factor authentication, so it cannot be turned off."

Sign out everywhere

Opens "Sign out everywhere?": "Every browser and device signed in to your account is signed out, including this one, and connected AI assistants have to be connected again." with Cancel and Sign out everywhere.

  • Use it when you signed in on a computer you no longer use, or think someone else has your password.
  • What happens next: you land on the sign-in page. Every other browser and device is sent to the sign-in page at its next step, and every AI assistant connected as you stops until you connect it again (see AI connector stopped working).

Things to know

  • Your email can't be changed. It is your sign-in name, and neither you nor an administrator can change it.
  • Verify your email in time. An email address that is still not verified 30 days after the account was created stops you signing in until you verify it. See Verify email.
  • Sessions end after a day without use. While you keep using NirmaanOne on a device you stay signed in; leave it for a day and you sign in again.
  • Lost your phone and your backup codes? Ask an administrator to reset your two-factor authentication (see Reset a user's two-factor authentication).
  • This page always works, even when your organization requires two-factor and you haven't set it up. Every other page is blocked until you do, and a warning on this page says "Your organization requires two-factor authentication. Set it up now to regain access to the rest of the app."
  • Your role is given by an administrator under Settings > Users. If a menu or button you need is missing, ask them to check your role.
