See the group position across promoter entities
Use the Consolidated report to add up every active set of books in the organization, one per promoter company, by template ledger or group, optionally for one nature or one project, and export it.
See the group position across promoter entities
When your projects run through several promoter companies, each company keeps its own books. The Consolidated report adds them all together, matching each company's ledgers by the organization template they were copied from, so you can see the group's bank balances, receivables, revenue and costs in one table. Use it for a management view at a month, quarter or year end.
Before you start
- Each promoter company has its books set up (see Set up books). Only active books are counted.
- Each set of books has a fiscal year that covers the From date you will use (see Fiscal years); a set without one is left out.
- For a view of one project, the books need cost centres for it: Mirror projects on Cost centres creates them.
- Permissions, in the role editor's words: the View permission on Reports and on Books (the default Administrator, Finance Lead, Accountant, Project Manager, Sales Manager, Compliance Officer, Auditor and Rehab Officer hold both), and the View permission on Projects for the Project filter.
Steps
- In the sidebar open Accounting > Reports and choose the Consolidated tab. The report opens in the Ledgers view, from the start of the current fiscal year of the books chosen in the Books switcher to today. The switcher only sets these starting dates; the report covers every active set of books. See Consolidated.
- Set From and To to the period you want, for example 1 April 2026 to 30 September 2026. The summary reads "<from> to <to> across" followed by one badge per set of books used, "<books> · FY <name>". A badge adds "(to <date>)" when that company's fiscal year ends before To; its figures stop at its year end.
- Read the warning under the summary, if there is one: "Skipped: <books> (no fiscal year covers <date>)." names each set of books left out. Books that appear neither in a badge nor in the warning are inactive.
- Click Groups for the group-level picture: one row per template group with Opening, Debit, Credit and Closing across all the books, the Books that contributed, and a Totals row.
- Click Ledgers and pick a Nature, for example Asset, to see bank balances and receivables line by line. Each row is a template ledger; customer, vendor and other party ledgers, which have no template, are added up per group into one row marked Party ledgers. The Books column shows which companies each figure comes from.
- To look at one project, pick it in Project. A badge reads "Project cut: opening balances excluded": only voucher lines tagged with a cost centre of that project are counted. Choose All projects to go back.
- Click Export CSV to download the rows on screen, with the columns Code, Name, Kind, Nature, Opening, Debit, Credit, Closing and Books.
What happens next
Nothing changes in the books; the report only reads posted vouchers and opening balances. Keep in mind when you read it:
- Figures are simply added. Amounts between your own promoter companies are not eliminated, so money moved from one company to another shows in both.
- The year-end closing journal is left out, as on the Profit & loss, so a closed year reads the same as before it was closed.
- A project cut counts only tagged lines. Opening balances aren't split by project, and lines without a cost centre are missed, so the debits and credits of a project cut need not agree.
- For one company's own statements use the Trial balance, Profit & loss and Balance sheet tabs with that company's books chosen in the switcher.
If something goes wrong
- "Skipped: <books> (no fiscal year covers <date>).": open that year on the books' Fiscal years tab, or move From into a year it has. See No books yet (trouble.accounting.no-books-yet) and No open period for the date (trouble.accounting.fiscal-year-missing).
- "No books yet" with Set up books: the organization has no books; the report needs at least one set. Same article (trouble.accounting.no-books-yet).
- "date_to is before date_from": To is earlier than From. "Nothing posted in this range.": widen the dates. See Report refuses the date range (trouble.accounting.ledger-report-date-range).
- "Choosing a set of books needs the Books read permission. Ask your administrator." or "You do not have permission to view reports. Ask your administrator.": see No access (trouble.admin.no-access).

- Set up the books for a promoter companyHow-to
Create the set of books a promoter company keeps, mirror its projects as cost centres, check the voucher numbering series and the component mappings, and connect the project's bank accounts to their ledgers so demands, receipts and payouts can be posted.
- Review the month and lock the periodHow-to
At month end, read the day book for the month, check that the trial balance is balanced, check key ledgers such as the bank, cross-check the period balances, and then lock the month on the books' Fiscal years tab so nothing more posts into it.
- Set a project's cost budgetHow-to
Give the project a cost centre in the promoter's books, then enter its estimated construction and land cost on the Budget cost card on the Settings tab, from a date, so cost of sales and cost-based progress have a budget to work from; revise it with a new dated row.
- Promoter entityConcept
The company developing a project; every project must name one, and its books and bank accounts are where the project's demands, receipts and payouts are posted.
- Books, the active books switcher and cost centresConcept
A set of books is the ledger of one promoter company: every posting for a project lands in its promoter's books, every accounting screen works on the one set chosen in the Books switcher, and cost centres inside the books (usually one per project with a child per tower) let the ledger and reports be cut by project.
- The chart of accounts: templates, books copies, nature and system rowsConcept
The organization keeps one master chart (group templates, ledger templates and default mappings) and every set of books holds its own copy of it; each group carries a nature (asset, liability, equity, income, expense) and a Direct flag that feeds gross profit, a few system rows are locked, codes are never reused, and the Consolidated report adds the books up by the template each ledger came from.
- "No books yet" or "has no books": set up books for the promoter company firstTroubleshooting
Every posting follows the project's promoter company into its set of books; until that Promoter Entity company has books, the accounting screens show an empty state and demands, receipts, commissions and cancellations cannot post.
- Posting refused: no open fiscal year or period for the dateTroubleshooting
Every posting, manual or automatic, needs a fiscal year of the books that covers its date, with the year open and the month's period unlocked; open the next year, unlock the period or reopen the year under Books, or move the document's date.
- Report refuses the date range, or shows nothing for itTroubleshooting
Reports read posted vouchers between two dates: From must not be after To, the year-based reports keep the range inside one fiscal year, and an empty result usually means the range, the filters or a draft that was never posted.
- "No access" or "You do not have permission": your role lacks a permissionTroubleshooting
Every screen, button and picker is gated by a permission on a module; your role decides which you hold, so a missing one shows as a No access card, a refused action, a greyed-out button with a hover reason, or a picker that explains which permission it needs.
