Create an organization and sign in the first time

Start your company's organization in NirmaanOne from the sign-up page, land on the dashboard as its administrator and confirm your email address from the verification link.

Create an organization and sign in the first time

Do this once, when your company starts using NirmaanOne. The person who creates the organization becomes its first user and its Administrator, and invites everyone else afterwards. If your company already has an organization, don't create a second one: ask its administrator to invite you instead.

Before you start

  • You need a work email address that isn't already used on NirmaanOne. Your company's 15-character GSTIN is optional: add it now if you have it, or later under Settings > Organization.
  • No permission is needed: the sign-up page is open to anyone.

Steps

  1. On the Sign in page, below the Sign in button, click Create an account (after "New organization?"). The page Create your organization opens, headed "You will be the administrator. Team members can be invited afterwards."
  2. Fill in the four fields; all but the GSTIN are required: Organization name (2 to 100 characters), GSTIN ("15-character GST identification number; optional, you can add it later under Settings > Organization", for example 27ABCDE1234F1Z5; letters are turned into capitals as you type; leave it blank if you do not have one yet), Email (the hint reads "You will sign in with this email") and Password ("At least 8 characters with a letter and a digit"). A problem shows under the field: "Enter a valid 15-character GSTIN, e.g. 27ABCDE1234F1Z5", "Enter a valid email address", "Use at least 8 characters", "Include at least one letter and one digit".
  3. Click Create account. The organization and your account are created together and you are signed in. The Dashboard opens with the message "Welcome to NirmaanOne! Check your inbox to verify your email.", and an amber banner under the top bar reads "Please verify your email address <email> by <date>; after that you cannot sign in until you do. Check your inbox for the verification link."
  4. Open the email "Verify your email address" and click its link. The Verify email page shows "Verifying your email…", then "Email verified" and "Thanks, your email address is confirmed."
  5. Click Go to dashboard (or Sign in, if you had signed out in the meantime, which brings you back with "Email verified. Sign in to continue."). The dashboard opens without the amber banner.

What happens next

  • You hold the Administrator role, which has every permission, and you appear in Masters > Contacts as a contact of type User.
  • The organization starts with the twelve default roles, the standard lookups (contact types, company types, bank account purposes, unit types and so on), the standard charge components and chart of accounts templates, and the default policies: RERA registration required before selling, a 70% escrow share (the share of every collection the bank sweeps to a project's RERA separate account), TDS under section 194-IA at 1% once the consideration reaches ₹50,00,000, and a 10% cancellation forfeiture.
  • Verifying your email removes the banner; nothing is blocked while it is unverified.
  • From now on you sign in with this email and password; there is no separate username.
  • Next: fill in the organization's profile and check its policies with Set the organization's profile and sales policies, then bring in your team with Invite users and get them signed in.

If something goes wrong

  • "An organization with this name already exists.", "An organization with this GSTIN already exists" or "An account with this email already exists." under a field: your company may already be on NirmaanOne, or the email belongs to another account. See Already exists.
  • "This verification link is invalid" or "This verification link is incomplete", with "Verification links expire after 24 hours.": while you are signed in, click Resend verification email on that page (or Resend email on the amber banner) and use the newest email; if you are signed out, the page offers Sign in to request a new link instead. See Invitation, verification or password-reset link cannot be used.
  • The verification email never arrives: the banner's Resend email answers "A new verification email has been sent." or "Email could not be sent right now; try again later." Check your spam folder, then try again later.
