Join <organization> (Accept invitation)
The page the invitation email opens: choose your password and join the organization that invited you, with the role the administrator gave you.
Join <organization> (Accept invitation)
When an administrator invites you to NirmaanOne, you receive an email titled "You are invited to" followed by the organization's name. Its link opens this page, where you choose a password and join.
Where to find it
Click the link in the invitation email. You don't need an account or to be signed in.
An administrator sends the invitation from Settings > Users with Invite New User, and can send a fresh one with Resend invitation on the same list. See Users.
What you see
While the link is checked: "Checking your invitation…".
When the invitation is good, the heading reads "Join" followed by the organization's name, then "Choose a password for" your email address and, when the administrator gave you a role, "You will have the role" followed by its name ("You will have the roles" when there are several).
| Field | What to enter | Checks you may see |
|---|---|---|
| Password | At least 8 characters with a letter and a digit. Required. | "Use at least 8 characters", "Include at least one letter and one digit", "Password is too long (max 72 bytes)" |
| Confirm password | The same password again. Required. | "Passwords do not match" |
Below them is the Accept invitation button.
When the invitation can't be used, the page shows the reason and Go to sign in:
| Heading | Message | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "This invitation cannot be used" | "This invitation has expired. Ask your administrator to send a new one." | Ask the administrator to use Resend invitation. |
| "This invitation cannot be used" | "This invitation has already been accepted." | You already have a password. Go to Sign in. |
| "This invitation cannot be used" | "This link is invalid, has expired, or was already used." | A newer invitation has replaced this one, or your account or organization has been deactivated. Use the newest invitation email, or ask your administrator. |
| "This invitation link is incomplete" | "Open the link from your invitation email." | The address is missing part of the link. Click the link in the email again. |
What you can do
Accept invitation
Sets your password and signs you in. Then:
- you land on the Dashboard with the message "Welcome to NirmaanOne!";
- your email counts as verified, because the invitation reached your inbox;
- from now on you sign in on the Sign in page with your email and this password.
Go to sign in
Shown when the invitation can't be used. Opens Sign in.
Things to know
- Invitations expire. By default a link lasts 72 hours. An administrator can change this under Settings > Organization with Invitation links expire after (hours), anywhere from 1 hour to 720 hours (30 days).
- Only the newest link works. When an administrator resends an invitation, every earlier link stops working and the expiry clock starts again, so an old email forwarded to the wrong person can't be used.
- Until you accept, you can't sign in. The sign-in page answers "This account has a pending invitation. Open the invitation email to set a password first."
- What you can do depends on your role. The role named on this page decides which menus and buttons you see (see Roles & Permissions). Ask your administrator if something you need is missing.
